I'm Back

Well it's been seven years since my last CD "I Am Myself".

I have spent the intervening years dancing with cancer, depression, complex PTSD and the dissolution of my marriage.

I think it's fair to say that I'm a different person than I was way back then.

The good news is that I'm doing well, thank you very much. 2017 was kind of a turn around year for me. It can be a wonderful thing, hitting bottom. I spent over a year in 2017 and 2018 driving around Canada in my car. I went from Halifax to Vancouver. I visited friends and family and did a few gigs. I spent some time skiing in BC and recorded a CD for a friend in Winnipeg.

It was very freeing and a wonderful opportunity to get to know myself better.

I finally settled in Ottawa, found a community and a partner and here we are in late 2019.

I'm almost finished a new CD (my 6th solo CD). It's recorded and mostly mixed. I haven't decided yet what it will be called but I have to decide soon. Official release date will be February 2nd 2020. If you live in the Ottawa area mark that date. there is going to be a concert.

The hardest part of doing the CD was choosing the songs. I had a ton of them. It became apparent fairly quickly that I had a lot that had come from dealing with and healing from trauma/abuse. So a theme was born. It's the first time I've done a CD that isn't just a bunch of songs.

I'm very excited. Soon I'll be sending the songs out to the west coast to get mastered at Zen Mastering by the very talented Graemme Brown. The wonderful Michael Wrycraft is working away on the graphics and soon away we go.

You will notice me slowly working on the website over the next little while after all this time sitting here untouched.

I'm looking for concerts (specially house concerts, my favourite).

It's good to be back.

I bless the wounds.
